Meet Sal Luciano, our Optical Manager. Sal completed his fashion arts and merchandising studies at Ryerson and Seneca. So he continues his education part-time at Seneca College to complete his optician’s certification. Because of his combined fashion and technical background, he’s capable of helping you with all your eyewear needs. He enjoys kayaking on Lake Ontario throughout the summer and snowboarding Ontario’s hills in the winter.
Andrea graduated with honors from Medix College’s Medical Office Administration Program. She started at our practice in the fall of 2013, working as an Ophthalmic Assistant. Her work at the front desk shines using her many years of customer service experience as a Supervisor. She has gained excellent working relationships because she knows the true meaning of team work. She developed an interest in learning about the eyes in school and decided to pursue her career here with us at the Eye Associates of Don Mills.
Diane has been working at our practice since January 2013 as part of the administrative team. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree. She then decided to fulfill a long-term goal of becoming a teacher and obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Education. Diane enjoys working with people and has extensive customer service experience.
Emmy completed the Opticianry program at Seneca College in 2013, recently joining our team as a part-time Optician. The optical field has always fascinated her so she has been involved since 2001, volunteering her time at Orbis. During her leisure time, she likes to read graphic novels, swim, and play badminton.
Dennis is a licensed Optician and Certified Contact lens fitter. He has 20 years of experience in corporate optical stores and independent optometric clinics. From managing at various levels, not only has he gained diverse knowledge and expertise with brands, he also provides patients with excellent customer care. In his free time, Dennis enjoys playing sports and the outdoors.
Gizman graduated from York University with an honours in Biomedical Science, and has found a new interest in optometry. While working as an Ophthalmic Assistant, she hopes to continue to gain knowledge whilst demonstrating her customer service skills.
Aliciya graduated from Western University with an Honours Specialization in Biology. She has always wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field and is excited to be able to provide her skills and knowledge at the Eye Associates of Don Mills. In her free time she enjoys drawing and hanging out with her friends and family.
Ivy graduated from the University of Toronto with Honours Bachelor of Science specializing in environment & toxicology and majoring in nutritional science. She has retail experience in the optical industry and has always been interested in optometry. She would like to explore her interests and gain clinical experience here at the Eye Associates of Don Mills as an ophthalmic assistant.
Mahshid works at the office as an Optical Manager and has been working in the optical industry for 13 year as a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant. She studied graphic design in school and her passion for art allows her to provide a fashionable edge when helping you select eyewear that fits your personality. Her favourite part of the job is making people happy when they find a frame that they love. In her free time she enjoys fitness and tennis.
Sonny graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Applied Science and worked for several years in the automotive industry. He has found a new interest in optometry with several family members working in the industry, and is attending Seneca College for Opticianry. In his free time Sonny enjoys reading, working on cars, or taking his dog out on hikes.
Jasmine completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto with an honors Bachelor of Social Work degree. She then decided to pursue a Masters of Social Work degree and fulfill her goal of working in the social services field. While working as an administrative assistant, Jasmine found a new interest in optometry. In her leisure time she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.
